MISSION STATEMENT:
------------------------------------------------------
This design is my own personal attempt at submitting art that I like and would gladly wear. Whether or not the result uses common imagery or ideas, I have attempted to use them in a new context, or way that fits me. I have not designed this shirt to try to please a select crowd or lifestyle. I have not gone for the popular or safe route as I may have in an attempt to secure votes. It is not a cry for attention or effort to get laughs. This is my design submission, and I think it would look great on a t-shirt.
------------------------------------------------------

My revolution sub... hope its not too late... hope someone likes it...

I think the placement of this design is Poor. If it was lower on the shirt, that might help. Other than that, to me there is still just something off about this overall design.

I don't know what they're talking about. I love this shirt as is

t-1000 ... terminator two! the bad dude...
willypiva
willypiva on Dec 19 '05
One of the best "bad dudes" ever...
But I was mainly inspired by those 5 lines there...

   d3d on Dec 19 '05
yeah, my first though was t-1000 as well, but it also reminds me of the way quentin tarrantino defended the bloodshed in Kill Bill, claiming people aren't offended by blood, they're offended by red. i like the design but i'd prefer it smaller.

you should consider re positioning that...

willypiva on Dec 19 '05
I can't resub... vote for the concept... most of threadless designs are repositioned later...

I thought the statement you were waking was bold but it's just stupid that you cpoy and paste it for every submission you've sent.

Yeeeah terminator. I was like WOAH! And then mildly dissapointed. It also kind of looks like a bottle of ink.

This simplicity of the text and color is what really makes this design work so well! I think that this shirt is fantastic! 555

It hasn't been made... It was made with photoshop... many submissions are presented like that...

You may like 'em or you may not...
But saying that my shirts are "hideous" and "depressing" and to "agree" with that, when none of you three (doublesolitaire, annemariedumain and susypow) have submitted any designs is kind of foolish...

Added to that, you may need to read this again:
"Note: If you're going to criticize please be constructive and respectful about it".

smaller bullet hole would be better. otherwise it would make us girls look a bit... weird.

i like the idea, its depressing, but i like it (i usually hate depressing shirts, they seem to scream emo at me) . im not very fond of the execution though... but i have no idea how you could change it (other than make it smaller), sorry.

3.

i cant believe how many people seem to hate it cause its not cutesy-mtv-emo-mainstream style for them. oh well. at least i like it.

mytoso on Dec 22 '05
before reading the lines, i thought this was a swirl of paint in a pot or something. i know its not the expected colours, but it doesnt look like a wound to me. If it looked more like one, i think it would solve all your problems (e.g. not look like a giant weeping nipple etc.)
willypiva
willypiva on Dec 22 '05
Cayman, you are right, I'm not a native speaker, I sometimes make that kinda mistakes...

Asher and mytoso thanx for taking some time writing, really appreciate that...

It's not nessesary a wound, just liquid...

After reading lots and lots and lots of comments and posts in the blog, I'm impressed on how it seems to me, that in the threadless community, everything turns around the idea of "emo vs. the rest of the world"... you should all rethink the idea of connecting everything with that, ff you hate'em, just ignore them...
And I don't know if its emo, or not, but yeah, I'm tired of cutesy-hearts-squids-panda...

radiotot on Dec 23 '05
Hmm, I agree with, being a girl, it'd be better if it was smaller and in a different place. I realize it's over the heart, but put it where it'd fall more on the stomach and wasn't as big and I'd be more comfortable wearing the shirt. I like the idea, especially the simplicity of it. " I'm tired of cutesy-hearts-squids-panda..." same here, this one definately breaks the mold.

"BANG! BANG! You're dead"...that's a play! I'm not sure if those lines are from it, but that one line is used over and over (thus the title). That made those lines have more of an impact to me...though I'm not sure how many people are aware of the act.

couldn't say that is was smart, or well designed. simply because people who have ever lost someone would feel TERRIBLE seeing this on someone else at any time of their life!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^lost someone to a gun by any means too. this shirt needs more thought.

i would be a little more respectful if the shirt needed respect.

but to you, willypiva, i agree with less "mtv, hearts and emo-ness"

I think it'd look better it it was on the bottom of the rib cage not over the nipple or maybe just under the chest

i think that on a guys shirt the placement is perfect and i adore the design, but if it were to be on a girls shirt i think that it should maybe a little higher
