well i did get insperation from the killing tree... but i dont see the connection with take me away... besides pherhaps the blue colour...

It's an awesome design. The idea, yes, is a little worn, but I still like it. everyone's mind jumps obviously to the killing tree, but they need to get over the "You're a racist bitch" thing. Unless you really are.

I just saw a photo relative to this the other day. It was a girl lynched up by a rope and this little girl at the bottom batting at her.
It was really eerie since it was a photograph.

Anyways, my advise is, the background is really Photoshoppy brushes and it's blantly obvious that that's what you used. Make it more interesting. Same with the black bottom. It's too obvious that you just smudged it. And the little girl on the left looks a little... strange. I don't know how to elaborate on that. Just maybe work on her a little.
Other than that, I like it.

Nothing funnier than a lynching.

I don't think I could even hang out with someone wearing this, too disturbing. I'm not sure what the commentary is supposed to be, if there really is one. It doesn't seem current (though it happened way more recently than 100 years ago, people) I's visually striking, stylistically, but there is no way I would wear it. A t-shirt might be the wrong medium for this.

The Killing Tree idea was better -overall concept & design ...

This one scares me. The little girls beating up the dead guy hanging from the tree. I don't like this concept.

A sick nasty little part of me laughed when I first saw this, then I figured the collective human past of barbarity makes this really kind of offensive.

i like strange things. i just wouldnt wear this shirt. its a little too unsetteling for me, especially with the kids... i dont know, its just a thing i have about kids staying kids for as long as possible, and i dont think killing someone is exactly innocent. but i like the idea you have, though. just because i am disturbed by it doesnt mean its not good. i do think it would look better on a black shirt, with the black of the design being the shirt color. 4.

i like this shirt quite a lot and i'd wear it constantly.
however, the girl on the left looks a bit awkward and i'd suggest changing the shirt color. i agree with i_blame_history on the idea of putting the design on a black shirt.

ouch. reminds me of something i read in Weird NJ.. there's theis tree in the middle of a field somewhere in NJ.. the kkk used to meet there. there's one branch that is parallel over the ground.. that one's the hanging branch.
