Oh man, this is so many levels of hot. Definitely a 5.
My only complaint is the Arby's mitten. It feels unbalanced? Or perhaps it's the drink being in the lower right corner and then the left side is so heavy with that bold white and then nothing below it. |

Actual to overratedreality, I'm a vegan and I'd definitely wear this shirt. I see it as a criticism of today's fast food culture. Maybe it seems that way only in my eyes though.

This is the most well recieved sub I've posted- THANKS! SEMANTITHEFT- It's a parody. If a gardening Darth can get away with it, so can the cow. GRAYEHOUND- I appreciate your comment. And am quite flattered. Artist's UNITE. FALL DOWN GO BOOM- Actually, it's less referencing a religion as it is making fun of DaVinci & fast food. But, who also doesn't like a little blasphemy from time to time? IWOULDBEJOSH- Yeah. had difficulties with Jarod's hand/sandwich. I wanted it to blend in, like Judas in the original. If this went to print, I'd try to alter it a bit. Thanks. POMANDER- Hm. It's probably the cup making it feel uncentered. Perhaps a squirting ketchup packet should go on the other side? |

fantastic concept and design. ronald mcdonald looks a little..ahem...'fem'? love the inclusion of jared and for those of ya'll who don't know about 'Chick-fil-a' restaurants that's their 'Decibell' mascot on the back of the t-shirt who's usually seen holding a sign that reads "“Eat Mor Chikin”.

hikay on Jun 08 '05 I scored this a 4 at first cuz I wasn't partial to the colors and didn't know if this was something I'd wear. But the more I look at it the more I see the genius of it. Well done. You even put Wendy where John sits in the original painting -- which references the controversy about him actually being Mary Magdelene.
I even think the colors will look a lot cooler on a shirt than they do on screen. I change to a 5 damnit! |

This is a great idea even without the cow but what is up with the left portion? The hand with the sandwich is kind of hard to connect to anyone. And the thing in front of Jared, I guess it's some ARBY's thing? It looked like the Hamburger Helper glove to me, but I don't think it fits in with the rest of the creepy mascots.

I think the Chik-Fil-A cow is kind of redundant - the shirt totally works even without "knowing the pun". Plus Chik-Fil-A is mostly just in the south/midwest and most people in other places have never heard of it, let alone are familiar with it's ads. Also, I know you put this on a gray t-shirt, but this CANNOT GO ON HEATHER GRAY.

1) Heather Grey - I know, the hated color. I think it would look the nicest with the colors you have selected. The colors are light, I want to say pastel actually, and Heather Grey would look fantastic with it. I think I said no heather grey in my post on your submission page, but I change my mind. 2) Natural - If you want a more realistic picture, go for this. It would make all the other colors stand out like a sore-thumb and the people would be easliy recognizable (eg. Ronald McDonald). 3) Light Blue - I just LOVE the colors on light blue, nuff said. Hope my opinion helps you decide on something. I do think the hated Heather Grey would be the best choice for this. But either Natural, Heather Grey and Light Blue would equal an instant sale from me. Now, if it is printed on Blue (which looks like crap, IMO) or Khaki, I will personally not buy it. Glad you didn't go with the blues. You should seriously consider redrawing Ronald McDonald, I had to stare at him for awhile to even figure out what the hell it was. I'm happy to see you've added the other assorted characters though (especially Jared, he's such a fuckbag). If you're trying to make a commentary on fast food it's not working, but I don't think you are. If you're trying to get people who actually eat this garbage and like it to buy the shirt while simultaneously get kids that hate fast food but want to be ironic then job well done. Although personally I think the shirt would be better if it made more of a statement about this type of food. |
