Old people moving to Florida, 1985 Buick Century, put that puppy on cruise all the way to Tampa. Yup, that's about all I have to say about that. I hope you like it!

Nice design Helmut. I get a real sense of the leathery skin, bingo addiction and flower patterned pants, pulled past the navel.

Gray all the way.....for the win. Five dollar$.

Oh ya! That UV idea is a great one Alpha Ryan. I love it. I'm sure it would look awesome on the sand shirt but I'm not sure how it would look on the army green because the tint on the glasses gets lighter rather than darker, let me know what you think about that? Sweet idea :)

Also, I like the text a lot as well. I usually don't like text but I think this one would work and maybe enhance that bingo quality to it. I agree, about the font, does anyone have any font suggestions? Let me know. Thanks

I was born and raised in Florida and I love this. And agree that the text needs to stay on the shirt.

I think the font should be on there, but handwritten, not in that font.

We had a 1985 Buick Century growing up. It was dirt brown with beige interior. Now this lady is driving it!

I want the text on there, with the palm trees too, but maybe a different font. Something squiggly to match the great line art. I love that crazy grandma!

Maybe put "1,523 miles to Tampa" on the front, and the design on the back with those fantastically huge glasses centered on the shoulder blades. Color scheme is very powerful!
tschwenn
tschwenn on Mar 19 '08
oh, and the '85 Buick on the front, under the text. That detail's got me drooling! What about a different shirt color, more like a disgusting tan skin tone.
tschwenn
tschwenn on Mar 19 '08
Drawing style and subject tone very much reminds me of Gahan Wilson, that cartoonist who's been in the New Yorker forever.

Thanks for all the feedback on the text guys! I was thinking that I like the idea of the text, hand written of course, in the same line quality as the drawing. For placement I was thinking maybe on the back of the shirt centered along the bottom edge. A nice little surprise :) what do you think? Is that to separate from the design?
