Hmm, no I like the hearts, makes it clear that the narwhal has only good intentions, making the scene all the cuter and more tragic

I love this, but I have one suggestion, lose the hearts. All they do is distract from the rest of the art, its more of a drain than a gain.

Archie McPhees already sells a product exactly the same as what you've put on the shirt--try an original concept instead of ripping something off.

I would say an original idea, or a commentary on the Mcphee idea. It strikes me as a whole new level of irony - unlike the expressionless Mcphee narwhal gutting innocent creatures and implied to be malevolent, the narwhal IS an innocent creature - it thinks it's living in a cuddly unicorn universe, when it's unwittingly impaling creatures it seems to believe it's hugging. Like all edgy t-shirts I would buy, it looks like a common design (in this case, my-little-pony-like?) at first glance, and then the WTF factor pops through to reward the discerning viewer. everybody in the whole world who says this isn't original needs to settle down. It's not like they took the design for someone else's shirt and made it into their own.
Besides, half the designs on here were inspired by something else and no one says anything about them ripping off a movie or being unoriginal, they get lots of "i love your take on this idea!" pfft this is a fantastic shirt btw. i'm so god damn glad it got printed |

Well, the toy incorporates penguins, which everyone knows are from the South Pole, and Koalas are too, so props to this designer for their marine biology hemispherical accuracy.
