I really like this. But I feel that is lacking something. And I'm really frustrated acuse I don't know what. I'm going to give it a four though cause the whales expression is fantastic.

Nice simple concept with nice simple art that pulls off a nice simple illustration. This is a prime example or how to do "simple art" effectively.
Next time work on your presentation, all that white on the sides doesn't help the design. Makes it look like a boring design, when it's really great. I finally zoomed in on it so all I could see was the grey of the shirt and the design and I loved it. |

This is really cute....although I agree with the commenter that something is missing. Perhaps a bubble or two from the whale to produce more complete symmetry with the periscope of the submarine?

You should have had the whale with water squirting out the top, in order to mirror the periscope of the submarine, darnit if you'd done that it would be even better!

thanks for all your nice comments, I posted it as a spare of the moment thing, i did think about the water spout, but i wanted it to seem like more of a deep down in the lonely ocean type of thing (whales only spout water when they get to the surface, but you're right it would create clever simitry). My dad asked me "why is it called 'Not enough fish in the sea.' a whale is not a fish it a mammal! he suggested the title "new friends"!!!! I suggested that he leave the clever stuff to me (love you dad :))

nice, but sorry split hairs here, last time I looked whales were mammals... still 4, no heart above the whale, it has the right amount of cute factor going on any more and would be overkill.
