Haha. I'm gonna get in a comment here before Gibbon goes off on asking you what this has to do with Josh Ritter. I actually like this. Stylistically, I think it works with the Josh Ritter aesthetic. This must be a very hard contest to design for. Ritter isn't a very visual guy, like the Decemberists. He's more about invoking thoughts, I think. There's not really a concept to grab onto. This is long, huh?

My idea was that the pink is sort of consuming this guy and taking over his life. Maybe it's turning him into something else. If that doesn't relate to how music took over Josh Ritter's life then I don't know what does. |

Wow. I really love the linework. Both colour schemes are stunning, but I prefer the dark background. It makes the design creepy in an incredibly attractive way.
