Has anyone here done any pattern subs for Threadless' sister site Naked and Angry? I was thinking maybe of making some wallpaper/ big fabric designs with some of my work.

Just made this tiling design from my umrellaheaded people- I'd have to simplify it (more vertical repeats), but right now it makes a nice desktop background (you can download it at flickr if you want)

If you've got something top swap, post it here, preferably with a pic, and an idea of what you want for it, and we'll find your ideal swap partner!

Original post

Okay, on British TV back in the seventies there was this kids programme called "The Multi-Coloured Swap Shop" where viewers would phone in with something they didn't want (a spacehopper, some rollerskates, Monopoly) and state something they'd like to swap it for (a jetpack, a time machine, a tank). Then another kid would phone in who wanted to swap, and they'd post the items to each other. Yay!

Now, I think this is the best idea ever, soooooo I thought it'd be awesome to set up a Threadless version- "The Thready-Coloured Swap Shop" where people could swap art, books, old trading cards, badges, whatever- anything that is easily postable. You'd post what you have and what you want (within reason), I'd put it in the blog, we'd have some awesome swappage action, people would send the goods to each other, everyone would be happy! As far as I know no-one's done something like this on threadless before, but I might be wrong.

Anyway- what do you think?

I've kinda retired from Threadlessing, as I was spending too much time here, but thought I might as well finish the subs that had been hanging around doing nothing for months! Though I have to vow not to pimp them once they're up, or check them more than once a day...

Here's the first:

I imagine it's been done/printed before, but hopefully not with quite so much handlebar moustache/sailor suit.

Also, if anyone has some amazing new designs that I can't afford not to rate, let me know, as I've not really been keeping up. But only if they're amazing.

This poem reminded me of this t-shirt, and I rather like it, so I thought I'd share it:

Bird Language

Trying to understand the words
Uttered on all sides by birds,
I recognise in what I hear
Noises that betoken fear.

Though some of them, I'm certain, must
Stand for rage, bravado, lust,
All other notes that birds employ
Sound like synonyms for joy
