A: Yet to be determined - BUT they get better deals!

Today I went to the local Italian/European deli to pick up manchego (cheese) and serrano (cured ham - similar to prosciutto) for a tapas party I'm hosting this Saturday. When I asked the deli meat guy if they had serrano, he said, "Sure do! Do you mind smaller pieces? I have an end that I'll give to you for $8.09/lb - it's normally $19.95/lb." Well, obviously I said, "Sounds great! I'll take whatever's there." He sliced it up, then ended up marking it $6.99/lb, and then gave me the end piece as a bonus (which is great for making stock). He also gave me 4 pieces "to taste it."

When he was wrapping things up, he said, "We don't get too many blondes around here."

Well, sort of.

I want to buy a t-shirt for my friend's new sister-in-law. She's totally awesome but the thing is, I don't have a particular shirt in mind and there are sooooo many to choose from!

I've posted a pic below - she's the one on the right. She's rather fashionable, so I'd like to get a cool, aesthetically pleasing design. And on a shirt color that'd look great with her coloring - something on the lighter side, or red, maybe. Any ideas?

EDIT: Looking for something printed on the Threadless brand tees, and in a size Girly L, *maybe* Girly M.

CPJ, <del>you're going on my STP list</del> I just sent you STPs! (8/25/08)

*******************************

Recently my husband & I have been talking about getting another dog, because our dog clearly loves having company. And then we got an email from one of my husband's colleagues - she's fostering an 8 month old Boston terrier, and was wondering if anybody was interested in adopting him.

Right now the Boston terrier is at our place, a sort of trial period, but Jasper (our dog) and he seem to be getting along beautifully, and Max (our cat) has even come out to investigate - and that's gone surprisingly well.

So it's looking like we'll keep him! But he needs a new name - his current name is Jack, which sounds waaaaaayyyy too similar to both Jasper and Max.

Any ideas?
