On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, I go to my pt job where I help a professor clean up data with this data software program. I sit on my butt all day modifying this one file according to my prof's needs. I am a research assistant.
Today, I just spent the past hour and a half trying to figure out why my software was not working. Programs I had ran last week were not running like they were before. I was getting zero output and commentary when I knew for a fact that I had received results last week with the exact same code. I send an email to the program's tech support and send an email to my prof (who comes in later in the morning) that I was "stuck" with a technical problem. So my professor comes in and stops by. I tell her what's going on and proceed to show her what I've been doing for the past hour and a half. Suddenly, the program starts running like a good little boy ... and tells me that there is an error somewhere. And my professor points out the error and starts explaining the error which was a simple typo... and I'm just sitting there, glaring at the computer as if it were sticking its tongue at me, like a little brother who refuses to obey my commands but suddenly be very obedient when the mom comes around. Wah. I hope it's not one of those days.... :P Everyone else having a better day than me out there? You must be logged in to leave a comment.
