I forgot that Threadless won't let me spell it like "<alentin3." Oops!
Just in time to be just in time for Valentine's Day! I think I'm going to be working on this for another day, in case you have any thoughts or advice for this stupid piece of crap. thank, guys! :D ![]() --- First Version ------------- ahh, yes! an ode to all of my brothers and sisters tasting the oft-sweet yet totally dorktastic fruit of e-romance. which precludes me, of course, as everyone knows I lack the human capacity for love. I'm sleepy so some letters are just copied or not even drawn yet. I'm still toying with title ideas too. thanks for looking! I less than three you so hard.
I pretty much suck at colors, but that excuse won't stop me from finding the best possible color scheme for this baby. I kinda like the one on light blue right now.
I'm not afraid to redraw something if it needs to be scrapped, and any thoughts or tips would be fantastic. Thanks for all your help so far, everyone! :D And 50 bonus points to whoever can identify where the little critter hiding in the tree is from. Test Colors (Warmish) ![]() Test Colors (Greenish) ![]() Test Colors (Hamlisch) ![]() --- No Longer About the Silly Clipart ----------------- ![]() I swear in the name of all that is holy that I have never seen this piece of shit in my life! :D But you can imagine how deep my heart sank when I googled "oak tree autumn" just now and this baby popped up. The crappy resemblance to my tree is uncanny! The swoopy silhouette of the leaves... the fall colors of the gradients... I was FREAKING OUT for a second there. I mean, did my brain take an early lunch and copy this image without my knowledge, or did this talented clipart artist go forward in time and copy ME? Those are the only two options. I've been drawing trees like this for 3 or 4 years (as evident in this funtastic flickr post of my first tablet scribbles), so it's sorta-disheartening (but mostly-funny) that something I put so much thought into resembles this awesome example of clipart so much. And the fun doesn't stop there either! If you really really REALLY want the scalable vector file of this royalty-free artwork for your home business or arboretum, it can be YOURS for the mere cost of $100. Score! I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
