I dunno, but if you have photos of all the people in your year, how about you mix up all their eyes and noses and mouths, and then have a grid of the faces like on the inside of the yearbook, but with the features all mixed up?

If you have yearbook photos of everyone in your year, lay them out in a grid like they would be on the inside of the yearbook.

Then cut out the various features - eyes, noses, mouths, and mix 'em all up.

That would make a great cover, and would be kinda on the theme of chaos.

If you have a cool looking mascot (do they exist?) or at least one you can make look interesting, do a stylized version of the mascot near a landmark of the school.

you should make it look like a an olf piece of cardboard for the cover, and with a permanent marker have YEARBOOK written on it...like duct taped and such...that'd be sweet

use lots of blood splatters and skulls.

seriously though... design the cover to look like a myspace/facebook/ generic social networking site page, but with a profile for your whole class or something.

That'd be cool. @ blame the suburbs... like a webpage sortathing...or or or or or!!!! a whole buncha scantrons scattered on top of one another to cover the book, but strategically bubbled in answered to spell the year or whatever

How about a picture of your school as a flaming ruin, with giant ants crawling over it, and people from your year running screaming from the scene? I'm sure you could persuade a bunch of people in your year to pose for you and take pictures, then photoshop them in!

how about u post pics of ur year and we'll (well maybe) turn them into something. sounds like fun no?? Gimme a pic of a fat kid and I'll turn him into some kind of beast.

Ahh, yearbooks... doing my page was such fun. I decided to dispense with taste altogether and just stick as many photos, bright colours, and irreverent quotes on as possible. The highlight was either the fake Oscar Wilde quote, or the telescope that sees into the future...

Ahem. Anyway. Do you have any kind of brief/limitationsfor this project, or is it basically free rein? And what timescale are you working to?

I only did ads for my yearbook... I woulda loved to do the cover...then again, I was terrible at photoshop/indesign and I didn't even know what illustrator was...hahaha.

Actually, wotto - that's an amazing idea.

dids - turn some of the images of your schoolmates over to us, and invite the designers to do what they want with them. Then post a collage of them on the cover!

and i did to the principal (shes a woman) so i did to her like 'god save the queen ' sex pistoles stuff but not to the cover..
and im working on some stuff i will show ya soon !
