Woman have the right to vote and hardly any do. Women and the least likely to vote with single mothers being smallest group of anyone to vote at all. The poloticians aren' even trying to lobby their vote - which maybe if they did the would pass some laws to help them. The people who are voting are old people - I am not evern kidding.

Gee, I guess women are too busy raising the next generation to bother. Too bad. I hope Hillary doesn't win either. She doesn't exactly appeal to the average woman, although she may think she does.

^ Heavens above. I hope not. I used to like him until he fell into peer pressure and started making stupid cracks about Bush like every other democrat does.

Those are stats from 2004. My poly sci professor told me that info and I also read it in the newspaper. Sorry to have upset you with my typos so much - you are not old enough to vote any how so why should this concern you so. i am a single mum and I think that it is important that this demographic make itself know and maybe something can be done to help them and their children.

1. Stats from 2004 would be the most valid if you're looking at the big picture. That would be the presidential election. I think it's safe to assume that not as many people are concerned about voting for senators and representatives. Still a big issue, of course, but off year elections of course do not have the same draw.

2. "my poly sci professor told me that info and I also read it in the newspaper"
Okay, neither of those are 100% reputable sources.

3. "you are not old enough to vote any how so why should this concern you so."
what's wrong with taking an interest in politics before you can vote? We need a lot more of that in this country.

Well I don't find the internet that reputable, believe what you will, love, I trust a person with a PHD over the the internet

--- I have also heard that voting overall has declined, less people are voting all together. They think that is due to complacency from American citizens, the ol' if it ain't broke don't fix it rule. i was wondering what the thoughts were on that?

We have to vote here (or run and hide under a rock, which doesn't help me, as most rocks don't have broadband.....)
Aaanyway... a valid point about the complacency of citizens to either choose to (if you can) or want to make an informed descision is right by my opinion!

Another point i'd like to raise is the small mindedness of people who focus on the mispellings of comments.

...if it is such a compelling argument for youthat you have to deviate from it to prove how better you are on a lingistic level than maybe silence is the best post you can give....

Mezo: I have heard that the electorial college is not quite "the people's vote" as it is based on the states won and not actual popular vote.
