it took me a very looooooong time and lots of emails to get my samples

and my wallet sold out in a couple days

and i never expected nor received anything but the samples

cause - I figured they are a small company trying to get going and the print count is low so any money would be minor anyhow - I just did it for the samples

i think you do get paid from what i understand......you just have to accumulate a certain amount of sales...i think..and they are growing...plus it takes like three weeks to get a wallet once your purchase it....so i think they are going through some growing pains right now

same here. emphasis on a long time. they seem like nice people but don't leave a good taste with artists i wouldn't imagine. i was told there would be a commission set up and was asked for my paypal info but haven't seen anything. whatever though. i got a few free samples and that was cool.

ginette - it took so long (like many months) to get the samples that I was doubting i would get them at all, let alone any green -

but i was not doing it to make money - it was to get my wallets - so that is what I was focused on - it was a little frustrating that the wallet was sold out so quick - I had a lot of family who wanted to get one and they were bummed, I ended up giving all but one of my six samples to them

anyhow - you just know what it is up front - if you are looking for an opportunity to get your name out there - or just get something professionally made with your work on it - then tinymeat is the bomb

if you are trying to pay the rent - then tinymeat is not the best

ok ok guys here's what i know...i'm as close to these guys as it gets, and it's not THAT close...

i will tell you all what i actually know:

TM pays VIA paypal.com...and the artist is paid $1.50 per item sold...so that means if (per month) you only sell 2 then you make $3...they will NOT pay you $3 YET for that month, instead they will let that $ accrue to something substancial, since they are paying through paypal.

also, when each item is sold, they relist it. if they have 16 made, they list but ONE of them at a time. ( So Joe, your wallet has not sold out, you should link people to the FIGHTO PAGE if you want them to buy that wallet)

as for samples: i have been told that it is difficult keeping track of who did what design...often they have the samples ready to go, but haven't matched the name to the artwork.
so it's best, yes, to email MONA@TINYMEAT.COM (mikey is the guy what makes the wallets, so he's not much for replying to emails, even mine)...Mona does the admin type work including sending out the samples...

so WHEN YOU EMAIL HER, LIST YOUR ITEMS and your address and name etc...

and as always be nice about it...

i haven't received many of my samples either. nor have a lot of my pending subs been printed (yet? ever? whatever)...

yeh each time one sells, that specific listing will say SOLD OUT (and within the moment it takes to relist, it will also say Sold out).

well i can only do so much from nashville, and they can't afford me in portland...so, i'm pretty much an encyclopedia with an informative entry on Tinymeat.

as for what is released and when, TM reserves the right to trickle out or flood the market however they want...(i say this actually as one of the artists, and not as one of the people in charge...as the charge i actually have is zeeeeeeero)...

the TM product is more sturdy that Poketo so the product istelf is worth standing behind/by/with.
