Why even vote on this one? This is the best take on the negative space vase/light etc concept i've ever seen! Amazing work here, both emotionally and stylistically. I love how the wax is melting onto thin air and how the upper parts of their faces are highlighted with the flame reflection but are also made from the edges of the flame! Seriously, this is 5$ and print written subliminally all over it.

seems a bit different compared to your other subs, but it still looks fantastic. nice and subtle. really great job, though i wonder if that gradient could be even smoother

it really looks good! The faces are done wonderfully, I love how you suddenly "see" what the design really is...if that makes any sense!

hmm.. I really love the idea.. It is a little hard to read what is going on at first, and with the voters I wonder if that is going to go against you as far as the people who just look for a second and vote and move on. I do think that people will do double takes for sure, I just hope they all do. this is really well done. the one part that I am a little iffy about is the bottom left side. The black area meeting up with the candle seems harsh, and I think maybe if the hair continued instead and that was the meeting point it might have a nicer organic feel to it.

Yeah, the dripping wax was a bit distracting and accentuated the strange shape of the candle outline, but it was such a neat idea i hate it to go....but it's only scaled back and not gone, so I now give you a 5$$ instead of just my normal 5$ for awesomeness in the field of shirt-making.
