about Peace and Hate. Can You Tell The Difference?

From American soldiers it is a symbol of liberation. We're not in war to kill people, we're in war to keep evil in it's place. Does no one remember our country was attacked/is being attacked?
Besides, you could also look at it like the grenade is a good thing. I thought this was a pro-war shirt at first. The only thing that makes it anti-war is the title...

Why does everything remotely related to the military suddenly describe the war/liberation in Iraq?
Generally grenades are used during times of war. What is the opposite of wartime? Peacetime! It's a simpler shirt than you may know.

Nobody's saying that a grenade is a symbol of hate (even though it is). They're saying it's a symbol of war, plus a convient design. You can't NOT associate grenades with war; that's basically the only use they serve.

And it has nothing to do with Iraq. Did anybody mention Iraq? I did not see anybody mention Iraq. So why are we talking about Iraq?

I do not understand why this has sparked all this controversy.

um... grenades aren't symbols of hate. not innately.

it depends on what kind of grenade and what you're using it for.

If you're talking about throwing a standard grenade at soldiers of another race or creed because you hate them for their beliefs or skin color... then that's a symbol of hate.

If you're throwing a standard grenade at soldiers of another race or creed because they hate you for your beliefs or skin color and you're trying not to let them kill you or your family out of fear... then it's a symbol of desperation.

If you're throwing a tear gas grenade into a drug dealers crack house to force them to get ill so they have to flee and run out of their lab so you can arrest them then it's a symbol of non-lethal resolution.

If you're throwing a flash bang into a bank to blind and confuse a group of hostage takers so a sway team can rush the room then it's a symbol of harsh determination.

So in conclusion: Grenades aren't symbols of anything in and of themselves. They are tools.
