It's hard to describe, I need to find an antique-e sort of looking brass instrument illustration. Something that looks like a funny man with a mustache would play from the 1920's.
I just want to copy the old-timey style for a drawing I'm working on.

Do you know what I mean? Old brass instrument illustration???

It's Saturday night
I'm 21 years old
and I'm sitting in my apartment... by myself.

With nothing to do.

Life totally blows.

Is it weird that my ex boyfriend's apartment is just a few feet away from mine and our windows face each other? He's a story higher than me but I can still see just about everything in his apartment.
Their living room light is on right now.
I feel creepy.

The building right next to mine was set on fire around 3:30 this morning from a guy about to be evicted. He barricaded himself inside and just set it ablaze. The building was over 100 years old and had more that 80 apartments. A few friend's of mine had everything they owned destroyed, most of them just college students. It's a sad day in Detroit.

and it was sooooo great.

I was expecting the worst...


but that wasn't the case..
